Renovation works at Fort Madalena
Currently we are undergoing plans to renovate parts of the fort and render them better functional towards our needs with modern facilities. We are refurbishing the rest rooms of the lecture room and the rooms in front of the Mess by installing new showers and toilets and converting some of the rooms into living quarters. We are also refurbishing the ex-Alpha Division that will be converted into a second dormitory. The aim of these investments is to have better facilities for the training live-ins that we will be organising or to be utilized when we are on stand-day duty, but also to accommodate foreign organisations during training exchanges or when we invite instructors from abroad to train us.
Before starting these works, we need to do some preparations in these areas by shifting items to other stores and disposing unwanted stuff, therefore we need all hands-on deck to do these tasks.
On Sunday 11th February from 09:30 till 14:30 we plan to do these tasks and we will also have the Venture Scouts assisting us. For those that help out we are having hot dogs for lunch.
