Recovery of vehicles from Dingly Cliffs
Recovery of vehicles from Dingly Cliffs
Next Saturday we will be participating in the ‘Let’s do it’ campaign and we will be recovering vehicles dumped at the bottom of Dingly Cliffs. A large crane has been rented and we will abseil down the cliffs and hook the cars to the cable. We have done this task twice already some years ago, retrieving 27 vehicles during the last exercise. The terrain down the cliffs is very rough and we need a lot of resources to do this job, therefore kindly register and do your best to attend.
Those of you attending, please inform me if you will be meeting us on site at 08:00 or at 07:15 at the Fort, but please be on time as the crane is paid by the hour.
Recruits are welcome to join in the morning and help on the top of the cliff but they have to be back at the Fort in the afternoon to continue with the recruitment course.
