Information about the talk
 
The talk covers the early history of the Order of St John in Jerusalem down to the creation of the Venerable Order and St John International. The presentation will be delivered by Chevalier Ray Cassar who is also a member on St John Malta Council.
 
Chev. Cassar was born in Malta on the 26th October 1950. He holds a B.A.(Hons) degree in English Literature and Linguistics and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Malta. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Manchester which he attended as a British Council Scholar. In addition he holds a Certificate in Human Resources Development from the Institute of people Development in London and a Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
 
Throughout his varied career, Mr Cassar has held various top management positions with a number of foreign and Maltese companies operating in various sectors from Tourism to Manufacturing. He was also one of the Pioneers of the English Language Teaching Industry in Malta and was co-founder of FELTOM, the federation of English Language Schools in Malta for which he produced a teacher training manual and designed and conducted. the first ever teacher training programme.
 
Chev. Cassar is the Chancellor of the Maltese lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order Of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He is also an Officer of the Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem and a Council Member of St John Malta. He is also the Registrar of the Office of the Chief Herald of Malta.
