We will have 2 Ambulances on site and set-up a 10-bed Medical Post in which we will be operating supported by MDH Staff and equipment. Our Medical Post and Ambulances will be located in John Lopez Street on the side of the Catholic Institute which is usually the busiest post. The Medical Post will be set-up on Monday so that we don’t waste time on the day of the duty. We will have Roaming Teams assigned to designated zones to extract casualties and transport them to the Medical Post. Each Roaming Team will consist of a mix of Ambulance and Rescue Members all equipped with radios and kits.
Water and a packed lunch will be provided for our Members.
We will be on site at 16:00 and standdown at 00:00 and hereunder are the meeting time and location options:
- Departing with St John Transport from Fort Madliena at 15:30.
- Departing with St John Transport from Kordin at 15:30.
- If you wish to come with your own car and park at Blata il-Bajda, we can pick you up at 15:50 from Gattard House (Next to Identity Malta Offices). Should you be coming later, we can pick you up at specific times from next to Gattard House, but please inform us on your time of arrival so that we plan transport.
- Members can come directly on site at 16:00 or later, but please inform us on your time of arrival.
- IMPORTANT as we have to plan ahead- Please inform us by email on ops@stjohnmalta.org with your preferred option and timings from the above as soon as possible so that we can plan logistics, teams and refreshments accordingly.
- Also it is important to bring with you your Identity Card.

- Baseball cap
- Hi-Vis Vest
- Blue Rescue Corps T-shirt
- Black Rescue Corps Belt
- Blue Rescue Corps Working Trousers
- Black (clean) Rescue Boots
Uniform Ambulance Members:
- Green shirt,
- Combat Trousers,
- Baseball cap.
