Round Malta Ambulance and Rescue Boat Duty
Neil Agius is organising a swiming competition around Comino on the 2nd of December, starting at 7:30am in Blue Lagoon. We have been requested to setup a first-aid post on Comino, have an ambulance on standby at Cirkewwa and provide two rescue boats with rescuers.
Update 28/11/23:
For the Round Comino Swim 70 swimmers have already applied to participate and more could apply till Friday, however the organisers are limiting the number of participants to 100. There will be Police and Transport Malta boats accompanying us and each swimmer will be accompanied by a Kayaker. We will have a Rescue Boat Crew, a First Aid Team at the finish line on Comino and an Ambulance with Crew on stand-bay at the Marfa slipway.
Boat Crew must be at Madliena at 05:45 to immediately proceed to Manuel Island Marina using one of the minivans. Boat Crew: Michael Muscat, Louise Giglio and Frankie Baldacchino.
The First Aid Team must be at the Fort at 06:15 and depart to Marfa slipway using the other minivan. They will be picked up at 06:45 to cross the channel by boat to the finish line. Bryan Wubbels, Ella Norton and Anton Falzon.
The Ambulance Crew must be at Marfa Slip Way at 07:00, therefore it’s best that you leave Kordin at 06:15.
