Occupational Health and Safety Seminar
 
Under the Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Act XXVII of 2000 and relative OH&S Legislation, every organisation is legally obliged to inform and train its personnel on issues regarding Health and Safety. The St.John Rescue Corps is no exception. As part of a series of Health and Safety Sessions held at the St.John Rescue Corps Quarters, a Health and Safety Seminar shall be held in the Ex-Charlie Division at Fort Madalena, Madliena.

1. Risk Awareness
2. Chapter 424, Occupational Health & Safety Act XXVII of 2000 (Amend.2013) of the OH&S Legislation
 
Time Allocated for this Seminar: 4 hours (1400hrs - 1800hrs)
 
All active members including Recruits from Recruitment 004, RV's, and Officers from all sections within the Corps namely, Recruitment 004, Fire Fighting Branch, High Angle Branch, Diving Branch, Stores, Logostics, Transport, Maintenance and HQ together with their related Officers from within that particular branch are required to attend for this Seminar.
 
Health & Safety Sessions are necessary to help identify and mimimise hazards and risks, during training, operations and other various duties where the St.John Rescue Corps are involved in.
 
Moreover, all sessions are designed to reach all Recruits from Recruitment 004, RV1's and Officers within their respective branches with the aim to inform, educate, raise awareness, improve communication, encourage involvement and promote a positive Health and Safety attitude within the St.John Rescue Corps, through knowledge, learning, discussion and sharing of experiences, therefore, your attendance for this session and your participation during the session are highly encouraged.
 
Health and Safety is everybody's responsibility and everyone has the duty to follow the law.  Every member is responsible for improving and protecting health and safety within the organisation, from the very topmost person in charge of all direction of the organisation, down through to HQ Officers, other CO's and NCO's from all branches and all Recruits of the St.John Rescue Corps... That is the Law.
 
Occupational Health and Safety is a very serious issue especially within our line of duty and should be of everybody's concern. OH&S information and instruction is necessary for all the Training Programs and Duties within the St.John Rescue Corps.  The names of those attending these OH&S Lectures and Seminars shall be recorded in the Health and Safety Records.  It is your duty to attend.
