Night Search & Rescue Exercise

Next Friday a Night Search & Rescue Exercise will be held for all members, especially recruits and those who are attending the SIMIT Exercise and role is registered as ‘USAR / Light Rescue’, as this training is critical in preparation for the scenario you might be assigned to. Those registered as USAR/ Fire Fighters will be attending fire training at HalFar.

Theme: A search for a missing 16 year old diabetic.

Tuition delivered:

  • Hasty search
  • Formation search
  • Collecting data
  • Reporting findings

 

Uniform / Equipment needed:

Blue uniform

Black boots

High viz vest

Helmet

Goggles

Gloves

Torches

Broom stick (important)

A good sharp whistle (important)

Notebook and pencil (important)

It's important to be on time as this exercise will be held outside of the Fort.
