Dear All,
On the 25th of May Training is postponed for all personnel and a full day's worth of maintenance is planned. We shall be starting at 0900 local time, therefore, it is suggest one attends earlier to be prepared.
Also, furthermore, kindly see mail below from our Commissioner in this regard:
Dear ALL
In a meeting held today at Fort Madalena it was decided to dedicate Saturday 25th May as a General Working Day at the Fort. On this day we will not be carrying out any training activities and ALL members are expected to attend to give a hand to the Fort Commandant to complete some tasks which have now been pending for a long time. We will be doing a number of projects which include the clearing away of extra material no longer needed by the Corps and a general clean-up and weeding to get the Fort in shape for forthcoming activities.
We have selected this date as I expect all members to attend and make necessary arrangements in advance to turn up and do their bit. We will also be planning the work schedule in advance so that we will know exactly what needs to be done. We will also be organising lunch so there is no need to bring one’s own food, although anyone intending to eat at the fort (against payment) is to inform Rescue Officer Anthony Buhagiar of this beforehand so that supplies can be bought.
If anyone is unable to attend, I would expect that this is reported to the Officer in charge of the member’s respective Branch. Reasons for non-attendance should be genuine. Otherwise I expect to see everyone, on board to do their bit.
All Officers are kindly asked to forward this email to their respective team members. The work at the Fort cannot be done by only a few persons.....if everyone puts in that extra effort, we will manage to do some good work and catch up with areas of work where we have fallen back. If members want to bring their family and friends to assist....by all means, let them do so......many hands, make light work J.
Regards and thank you all for your continuous assistance.
Captain Reuben Lanfranco, OStJ, OLJ, KJ, BA (Crim), M. Jur (Int. Law), LL M (IMLI), Dip. Mar. Sur., AMRINA, MIFireE, MCILT, AFRIN, FNI, FIIMS, MIM.
