Inspire shall be organising a charity event and have requested us to carry out a demo in their opening event to start with a bang!. As one would imagine, this will give us alot of exposure whilst also allowing us to do what we all volunteer for, help those in need.... even if just through a smile.

We have been requested to assist as Rescue Personnel the famous yearly Christmas Charity Swim. We shall be working closely with CPD and we require all personnel that can attend to be available. We shall be providing the following cover:

• Land Rescue / Land Support
• Diving Team on standby (ready kitted with CPD)
• Rescue Swimmers
• Helmsmen for Marine Craft (ex. RIBs)

Kindly register ASAP as a list of personnel needs to be submitted early next week (11th) to the Office of the President for clearance of personnel.

Divers & Rescue Swimmers, kindly email ops@stjohnmalta.org with any equipment you would require on the day (divers, this includes cylinders and their capacity)

Anybody holding a Nautical Licence, kindly email ops@stjohnmalta.org to advise.

Light Rescue Exercise

Exercise will be focusing on Casualty Care & Transportation over Rough Terrain.

KIT: Rescue (Boots, trousers, t-shirt, jacket, helmet, head torch, gloves, knee & elbow pads)

A clean set of clothes and items to shower in are suggested as spares due to wet weather.

All Rescue Corps members and their spouses/partners are invited to attend the St John Association Christmas drinks. These will be held at SJA Headquarters in Valletta. 

Dress code: blue trousers, yellow jacket, black boots, b/b cap and the new shirt or fleece.

Those of you who do not have the full uniform can attend in smart dress.

MF&RS Training Camp 2013 Participants - USAR Training

Exercise organised by CPD to operate in a major water relay exercise.

SEVESO Exercise (Fire) within the Gasco premesis in B'Bugia. This exercise is a CPD requirement to comply with major incident scenarios in COMAH categoried sites.

All personnel that hold the FFFC Course (either CPD or SJRC) are eligible for this exercise.

We shall be meeting @ Fort Madliena at 0730 hours and shall be proceeding shortly after in a Convoy towards an RV point with CPD.

Kindly indicate at your earliest, your attendance due to clearance required due to the restricted site access.
