The presentation will give a historical overview of the decorations and medals of the Order and how these should be worn.

Capt. R. LANFRANCO, CStJ, BA (Crim), M. Jur (Int. Law), LL M (IMLI), Dip. Mar. Sur., AMRINA, FIFireE, MCILT, AFRIN, FNI, FIIMS.
Captain Reuben Lanfranco joined the Armed Forces of Malta, Maritime Squadron in 1986, and underwent Naval Officer training at the German Naval Academy and other Naval, Coast Guard and Federal Police Institutions in Germany, Italy and the United States of America. Following his return from overseas in 1991, he was appointed as PRO for St. John Ambulance, Malta, and subsequently also appointed as Transport Officer. He later served as Assistant Commissioner in the St John Ambulance (FA&N) Branch until being transferred to St. John Rescue Corps to serve as Deputy Commissioner, following the sudden demise of Mr. Vincent Bugeja. He eventually took over as Commissioner and Corps Commander from the Marquis Anthony Buttigieg DePiro in 2006 where he continued to serve as Commissioner until the end of 2015. Captain Lanfranco continues to serve as a member of St. John Council and as the Registrar for the Order in Malta.
Capt. Lanfranco is a senior lecturer on Maritime Safety and Security, Incident and Risk Management, and Search and Rescue, and works as an International consultant on Maritime Security and Border Control as well as Maritime Education & Training. He also served as a Malta Government-appointed board member on the Correctional Facilities Parole Board and currently serves as a board member on the Independent Police Complaints Board. He is currently the Chief Scout of the Scout Association of Malta, and Honorary Secretary of the Federation of Arms Collectors and Target Shooters, in Malta.
